About Me
About me
I started a career in visual arts as an art educator for high school students. I developed an online platform to showcase the relationship I had with my hair in 2012. My goal was to educate others on how to care for their hair, mainly black women with natural hair. I eventually moved from Youtube to Instagram and was able to cultivate a community of women and men who desired to learn more about their God-given coils.
My background in Graphic Design came in handy for creating online videos and my love for videography grew even more as it was a part of my now full-time job. A lot of the skills I've learned along this journey were self-taught, such as Final Cut Pro X, Google Analytics, and understanding social media marketing. Through my platforms, I have been able to network and partner with many companies. I was chosen as Intuit's Girl on Fire and was their guest for 2018's SXSW. I was also chosen for Essence Festival's billboard and attended New York's Advertising Week sponsored by AWMoms.
My passion for growing an online presence turned into me helping others find their online voice and community. In 2020-2021 I consulted with small start-up companies and helped them grow their accounts by analyzing their analytics.
My goal is to continue to partner with small companies to help amplify their business online through marketing and becoming more visible on social platforms.

BLACK PLANT MOMS
Black Plant Moms, created in 2020, is a community of new and experienced plant lovers. This space was designed to encourage nature's beauty and showcase the unity of black womanhood. While women of color are finding ways to elevate their self-care through plant care, we want to foster growth within our community, so they may thrive like plants. Part of growing our community is bringing visibility to black-owned plant businesses across the board. We believe that self-care through plant care is true happiness. Our goal is to continue to give green space for black and brown women to share tips on planting. Ultimatel, making Black Plant Moms a room where dope plant mamas encourage, uplift, and grow.
